OCRA has been awarded the prestigious 2024 Alfonso Garcia Robles Prize for its refugee work.
The award was created in memory of Alfonso Garcia Robles, Mexican diplomat, human right defender, and the winner of the 1982 Nobel Peace Prize. Since 2017, the National Autonomous University of Mexico has awarded the prize to “individuals or organizations that do outstanding work in the defence, promotion and protection of the rights of migrant persons in vulnerable situations.”
